I’m not sure which came first — my love for travel or my desire to document what I see. I took my first trip to Portugal in 1996, at the age of 10, and by the year 2000, I had ten stamps in my passport and there were no signs of stopping.
I received a master’s degree in journalism at Northeastern University in 2016, and now work as a freelance journalist and travel writer with stories featured in Wanderlust, Far & Wide, and The Martha’s Vineyard Times. My coverage focuses on travel, yoga, and wellness.
My travels have led me to chase the Northern Lights across Iceland, camp under the stars in the Sahara Desert, cold plunge in the Norwegian Sea, and sip kava with chiefs in Fiji.
Next stop: Baja California Sur, Mexico.
My most recent story — Oh, Behave: Elise Loehnen on Owning Being Yourself — is featured in The Wanderlust Journal.
